Would you mind if I use this for a cover of a story I'm making? I would credit you fully of course.

Thanks :) I started with flat colors, then have 2 duplicates of the flattened image. I started with a cool colored darkened layer (levels, and color balance). I then created a lightening layer, (levels, and color balance). Made that unvisible (with a mask) and then slowly unmasked areas that I wanted lit. I repeated this 3 times for the different colored lights (greenish hues from the capsule, warms from the window, cool bounce light from inside. Its a common matte painting technique but I like to use it for alot of my stuff. Hope this helps :)

amazing look! I also looked over your blog, so you started with the material colors and then.. is that an overlay layer you use for creating the shadows and light of the environment?
